Celebrate Earth Day’s 50th anniversary virtually

PITTSBURGH — Pittsburgh Earth Day is going digital this year for Earth Day’s 50th anniversary!

Virtual activities started on Wednesday and will continue through Earth Day on April 22.

Here are some of the virtual activities you can participate in:

• Virtual Eco Biz Buzz - a curated playlist filled with big ideas, bold thoughts, and fresh actions that are being undertaken right here in Pittsburgh, as well as around the globe. All designed to encourage people to think about sustainable business practices in new ways.
• Virtual Eco Film Showcase - featuring a variety of films (documentary, feature, and family-friendly) – some are fun, some are serious and thought-provoking. Many of the films are free or readily available on mainstream streaming networks.
• Virtual Tours and Online Activities - we have pulled together a comprehensive list of tours, activities, and events that many of you, our local partners, are offering to keep us busy, engaged, and learning during these unique times.
