City of Pittsburgh honors WPXI Anchor Peggy Finnegan for 31-year career

PITTSBURGH — Officials with the City of Pittsburgh honored WPXI Channel 11 Anchor Peggy Finnegan for her 31-year career.

“The Mayor and Council of the City of Pittsburgh does hereby declare Friday, December 18, 2020 to be Peggy Finnegan Day here in our most livable City of Pittsburgh,” Mayor Bill Peduto said as he read the proclamation.

“This means an awful lot to me. Pittsburgh is very important to me. Its a wonderful city and its a city I’m proud to call home. Thank you so much for this honor,” Finnegan said.

Peggy Finnegan’s last day is Friday but she may still appear on Channel 11 for special event coverage.
