Lawson surrendered to his probation officer on April 20 for an unspecified violation, according to a criminal complaint. Authorities found text messages that paired with those found on the cell phone of Mark Farrell, 23, who fatally overdosed on fentanyl on April 3 in Speers.
Officers found five stamp bags labeled “Diesel” near his body, and his phone had text conversations from the previous two days concerning the purchase of heroin and/or fentanyl, according to the complaint.
Lawson’s text messages with Farrell mentioned the sale of “Diesel,” and Lawson told police that those bags contained fentanyl, according to the complaint.
Police also have a confidential informant who, along with Farrell, bought drugs in the "Diesel" bags from Lawson, according to the complaint.
