PITTSBURGH — An elevated park-like space inspired by and named after New York City’s High Line is open in Pittsburgh’s South Side, offering views of the city and the Monongahela River.

Pittsburgh’s “The Highline,” formerly known as The Terminal Building and then as the River Walk Corporate Centre, includes creative office and retail space, as well as the 500-foot-long elevated green park-like space, according to McKnight Realty Partners.

McKnight Realty Partners purchased the 868,000-square-foot, six-story brick property along the Three Rivers Heritage Trail in 2016 for $12.5 million.

According to Riverlife, McKnight Realty quietly opened the outdoor spaces in the middle of the summer.

The project is in the final stages of completion, and will soon be home to a brewery and a bike rental shop, Riverlife reported.
