Father, teenage son shot outside home in Allegheny County

RANKIN, Pa. — A man and his 17-year-old son were shot Thursday night outside their home in Rankin.

The shooting was reported shortly after 9 p.m. at the Hawkins Village housing complex.

Police said a man approached the 55-year-old father and son, who were sitting outside their home, and shot them.

Both victims were taken to hospitals.

The son was listed in critical condition. The father was listed in stable condition.
