Former NFL player, father of murdered pregnant McKeesport woman puts up billboards to help case

MCKEESPORT, Pa. — Karli Short’s father said he is still struggling with grief but he’s not letting that stop him from helping police find her killer.

“I mean my firstborn child and to lose her not to a car accident or to cancer or COVID-19, someone made a choice to take my daughter’s life. It’s really hard to deal with that,” Brandon Short said.

Karli Short was 26-years-old and five months pregnant when she was shot and killed on 25th Street in McKeesport.

Her father put up three billboards in and around McKeesport asking for help in the investigation. The family is also offering $20,000 for information leading to an arrest.
