GILPIN, PA. — A 14-year-old girl was allegedly high on drugs when she led police on a high-speed chase this week in Armstrong County.
The Avonmore girl is facing juvenile charges of reckless driving and driving under the influence, according to our partners at TribLIVE.
Gilpin police said the girl took her mother’s car and ended up on Route 66. Officers pursued the car as the girl weaved through traffic at speeds reaching 70 mph, TribLIVE reported.

It ended when she drove the car off the road and into a wooded area in Bethel Township.
There were four other teens in the car between the ages of 14 and 16 years old, TribLIVE reported. They have not been charged.
