MT PLEASANT, Pa. — Flames consumed a house in Mt. Pleasant Tuesday morning.
Investigators tell Channel 11 the fire started around 6:15 a.m. at a home on Railroad Street.
Channel 11's Liz Kilmer has learned there were five people inside the house when the flames broke out. Two of them are Mt. Pleasant firefighters, neighbors told Channel 11.
"I was woken up around 6 a.m. by my friend Susan screaming that there was a fire in her sister's room, so we went I remember getting up and looking over in her room and all I saw was a cloud of smoke and just red everywhere,” one of the residents said.

Everyone made it out of the house OK, investigators said. The American Red Cross was called in to help those residents.
The fire chief said it took firefighters about 45 minutes to bring the fire under control. The home is a total loss.
Fire investigators remained on scene trying to determine the cause.
