Man accused of sexually assaulting 2 girls he met on Snapchat headed to trial

GREENSBURG, Pa. — A man accused of sexually assaulting two young girls he met on Snapchat is heading to trial.

Kilian Thomas, 20, waived his right to a preliminary hearing on Monday.

Both of the young girls, ages 11 and 13, were in court expecting and prepared to testify, but they won’t have to take the stand unless this case sees the inside of a courtroom.

Thomas is accused of meeting the two underage girls on Snapchat, and allegedly having sex with them.

The first time we saw Thomas at his arraignment, he said they lied about their age.

His defense attorney said he didn’t believe a hearing today would’ve benefited Thomas, but they have intentions to challenge the evidence.

“Being that it’s a significant prosecution, we need to look at police reports - there were phones seized - we want to examine those and examine all the documents and then file appropriate pleadings in common pleas court," said Thomas’ defense attorney, Tim Dawson.

Thomas remains in jail. He’s due back in court in April.
