PITTSBURGH — A Tarentum man plead guilty Wednesday morning to causing an accident that killed a mother of three.
Carl John Keating, 33, appeared before Judge Beth Lazzara and plead guilty to homicide by vehicle, involuntary manslaughter, recklessly endangering another person and DUI.
Police said Keating was speeding northbound on Rt. 8 in Hampton Township on Dec. 11, 2019 when he lost control of his vehicle, traveled into the southbound lanes and crashed into several vehicles.
Rebecca Koorsen, 28, a passenger in Keating’s vehicle, was killed in the accident.
Lazzara revoked Keating’s bond and he will remain in the Allegheny County Jail until his sentencing on Aug. 10.
