MONESSEN, Pa. — Police went on Wednesday to the home of Zachary Lawson, 31, who they believed was in violation of his state parole conditions.
According to a criminal complaint, Lawson let officers into his home, where they found suspected crack on a dresser in the room where Lawson, his girlfriend and their 4-month-old baby slept. His 7-year-old daughter’s room was across the hall.

Police said Lawson turned over 99 packets of synthetic marijuana and gave them permission to keep searching. They found marijuana-laced gummy bears, cotton candy and lemonade-flavored syrup.
Police said all the marijuana-laced items were labeled as “Sweet Stone Candy” and were within the reach of the two young children who live in the home. Two packets of suspected heroin and nearly $6,000 in cash were also found.
Lawson was on parole after pleading guilty to a felony drug charge in 2014.
He’s now facing additional drug charges and endangering the welfare of children.
