MONROEVILLE, Pa. — A street in Monroeville was shut down Monday morning when hazmat crews were called to the area.
Police, fire crews and hazmat were all called to the Waste Management landfill on Thomas Street just before 8 a.m.
One person was found to be injured and taken to the hospital while the Monroeville Fire Department and the Allegheny County Hazmat Team secured and ventilated the area. What caused the incident has not been released.

The scene was turned over to site management, and an investigation is ongoing, the fire department said.
There are no current health concerns within the area according to officials.
