Multiple medical helicopters called to crash in Donegal

DONEGAL TOWNSHIP, Pa. — Multiple medical helicopters were called to a head-on crash in Donegal on Thursday evening, and four people were injured.

According to our partners at TribLive.com, the four patients were flown to UPMC Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh. State police said the crash happened at around 4:45 p.m. near the entrance to the Caddie Shak entertainment complex on Route 31.

A Honda Civic traveling east crossed into the westbound lanes of the road and hit a Subaru vehicle. A male driver and female passenger were in the Honda, and two women were in the Subaru, state police said.

Their identities have not been released.

Firefighters had to cut off the Honda’s driver side door and roof to rescue the man and woman inside.
