Pennsylvania state trooper accused of harassment placed on restricted duty

GREENSBURG, Pa. — A Pennsylvania state trooper has been accused of harassment, and he’s still on the job.

Trooper Michael Predajna, who works in the bureau of forensic services building at the Greensburg Lab, is on restricted duty today after he was given two summary citations for harassment/physical contact on Tuesday.

According to the criminal complaint, Predajna is accused of slapping a man on the right side of his face on Feb. 20 at a home on State Route 981. The complaint goes on to say Predajna charged at a woman with a closed fist in an aggressive manner and said, “You’re next.”

A lieutenant at the PA State Police Headquarters in Harrisburg said Predajna, who has been with the department since 2009, was not working at the time of the incident.

According to the court docket, Predajna has not entered a plea.

It’s the second time a trooper in Westmoreland County has gotten in trouble with the law in as many days.
