ALIQUIPPA, Pa. — Folks in Aliquippa are getting fed up with large potholes along Burton Street and Davidson Street. They told Channel 11 they’ve been there for months and they want the problem fixed.
“We have three holes on this street right here,” said Anthony Kascek. “One of them is bigger and wider than my car and if somebody falls in there, who is going to pay for the automobile damage?”
Kascek said several weeks ago, the Aliquippa Water Authority repaired several leaks in the area and had to rip up the street.
“They filled it back up with wet dirt and you can’t do that because it’s going to sink into the ground,” he said. “You don’t fix a hole like that.”
He said he’s called the agency every day to get the problem fixed.
Channel 11 reached out to the authority to get answers but nobody picked up the phone or answered the door.
