Pipe from hot water tank bursts, closing North Allegheny Senior High School

WEXFORD, Pa. — A pipe from a hot water tank burst Thursday morning, forcing the closure of North Allegheny Senior High School.

District officials said the tank’s pipe burst on the roof of the high school, causing water and glycol to leak onto the third floor of the building.

Maintenance workers are cleaning the building and replacing the pipe.

Students and staff were told the school will be closed Thursday, and there will not be remote instruction.
