The uniforms and t-shirts are part of the Pitt athletic department’s Until We Unite initiative which aims to promote an environment of inclusion for student-athletes, coaches and staff through education, dialogue and the celebration of differences, according to the team’s website.
The gymnastics program is also involved in a social media campaign that includes a team PSA and highlights local organizations that support the Black community.
