PITTSBURGH — Pittsburgh International Airport will start offering on-site COVID-19 testing for passengers, according to airport officials.
The voluntary testing is expected to open beyond the security checkpoint at the Airside Terminal beginning Dec. 21. It will be open from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily for passengers who have tickets.
Pittsburgh International joins other airports across the country offering testing sites, including Philadelphia.

The testing is operated by Georgia-based TACKL Health. The company expects to hire up to eight health professionals who will perform 300-500 tests per day.
They will conduct rapid antigen tests that provide results in 15 minutes, and PCR tests that take 24-48 hours.
The tests will cost $95 for the rapid antigen, $125 for the PCR, or $175 for both, and can be paid with cash or credit card. Health insurance will not be accepted.
Positive results will be reported to the Allegheny County Health Department. Airport officials won’t get the results.
