WINTER PARK, Pa. — “It’s a beautiful day in this neighborhood, a beautiful day for a neighbor.”
The new Fred Rogers bronze statue is more than 7 feet tall and features his iconic cardigan, sneakers and Daniel tiger - surrounded by kids.
It sits in the courtyard of Rollins College.

“That’s all really him. He doesn’t, didn’t come home and put a sweater on and tennis shoes on but he was very gentle. He was not an actor. It was all true blue,” John Rogers said.
The school says Rogers remains a model of empathy, acceptance and kindness to this day.
