PITTSBURGH — Two Pittsburgh bridges have been named among the most outstanding in the country.
The Liberty Bridge and the Andy Warhol Bridge were included in the 2020 Prize Bridge Awards list.

The Liberty Bridge was recognized for resilience. It reopened just 24 days after a 2016 construction fire, which happened during an $82 million rehabilitation project.
The Andy Warhol Bridge won an award for a rehabilitated bridge. Upgrades started in August 2016 and were completed more than a year later.
Pittsburgh’s Sixth Street Bridge won the first competition in 1928.
