Police are putting out a new call for answers in a hunter's murder case.
They say someone deliberately shot him out of his tree stand in Westmoreland County.

They are hoping someone else will come forward with information to help them out.
For Steve Kachonik's family, that November day started out like any other.
He went out to his favorite bow hunting spot, but he never came home.
Police say Kachonik was found dead right next to his tree stand and they soon realized it wasn't an accident.
“Someone either encountered him in the woods or shot him or because he frequented this hunting area somebody intentionally went to where he was at,” said Trooper Steve Limani, of Greensburg state police.
Now police are hoping the killer confided in someone during all these years the case has been cold---and that the person is now ready to come forward.
“We have a killer on the loose. we have somebody that killed somebody and hasn't been brought to justice,” Limani said.
There is a reward for information that finally moves this case forward.
They say they are hopeful they can bring closure to Kachonik's two children who had to grow up without a dad.
