PITTSBURGH — The Rolling Stones are returning to Pittsburgh’s Heinz Field this summer.

The rock band announced Thursday morning its No Filter Tour will be at Heinz Field on June 23.

“It’s always a pleasure to return to North America and play for some of the biggest and best crowds in the world,” lead singer Mick Jagger was quoted in a news release.

Tickets will go on sale to the general public Feb. 14 at 10 a.m.

Rumors had been swirling about the Rolling Stones’ return to Pittsburgh as billboards popped up around town.

The billboards featured the band’s logo, as well as lyrics to several hit songs.

The last time the Rolling Stones were in Pittsburgh was just about five years ago when they played at Heinz Field.
