GREENSBURG, Pa. — Two workers were struck by a pickup truck Thursday morning on Route 30 in Hempfield Township, Westmoreland County.
The scene was near the Lakeview Lounge outside Greensburg.

Workers from Stewart's Fiber and Cable told Channel 11 News that the two men were placing cones on the road at about 8 a.m. when they were struck.
"The guy came around, drove around the traffic ... and ran into the back of the truck," Ron Hurley said.

"One of my buddies was on the back of the truck. He's pretty messed up. The other guy was on the side of the road. He's messed up."
Both eastbound lanes were closed for three hours.
"We try to work along the road, put up signs, be safe, and people don't care," Hurley said.
Details about the workers' conditions were not immediately available.
