Rutherford County Sheriff’s Office said the drugs discovered inside the toy were intended to be sold in the county, WKRN reported.

Capt. Britt Reed said Zave Garry, 34, was out on bond from drug charges in Coffee County two weeks earlier when they found him with the pill-filled toy on Aug. 27.

In Coffee County, investigators found 157 of the same type of pills and linked Garry to a shipment of nearly 1,000 of them, officials said.

Garry was charged with felony possession of Schedule II and VI drugs and misdemeanor unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia, deputies said. He is being held on an increased bond of $150,000. A court hearing is scheduled for Tuesday.

“These non-pharmaceutically produced pills are a true danger to the user due in part to inconsistent production methods along with the inherent dangers of Fentanyl,” Reed said.
