ATLANTA — An Atlanta woman was found stabbed to death in her garage on Saturday inside of a gated community.
Atlanta police said a woman was killed at her Buckhead house on Saturday, according to WSB-TV. The woman was identified by the Fulton County Medical Examiner’s Office as Eleanor Bowles, 77.
Bowles was found dead in the garage of her house within in a gated community around 5:30 p.m. According to WSB-TV, investigators believe that she might have been killed while interrupting a robbery in progress.
Lt. Germain Dearlove, homicide unit commander with the Atlanta Police Department, said in a news conference Saturday that Bowles had multiple stab wounds, according to The Associated Press.
Following the attack, police said a Lexus SUV was reportedly stolen from the house but was later found in DeKalb County, according to the AP. The police department released images of a person of interest who was reportedly opening the Lexus SUV’s door.
A $10,000 reward is being offered for anyone with any information on the case, according to WSB-TV.
As of Sunday afternoon, no arrests have been announced, according to the AP. No further information has been released.
