TOLEDO, Ohio — An Ohio woman shot an intruder multiple times Friday morning after the man entered her occupied home in an attempt to burglarize it, investigators said.
Toledo police said the man went through the front door of the house around 1 a.m. and was shot multiple times by the woman, WTOL reported.
There were several children inside the house.
The man stumbled off and fell over in the front yard. He was taken to a hospital where he is being treated for critical, life-threatening injuries. His identity has not been released.
No one else was injured.
Investigators questioned the woman, which is protocol. Police said more than one person at the house shot at the intruder. A man and woman live at the house. Their identity has not been released.
