Washington County Judge Mark Mascara Dies At 54

WASHINGTON, Pa.,None — Mark Mascara, a Common Pleas judge in Washington County since 2003, has died. He had spinal cancer and died Friday night at home in Washington, Pa.

Mascara graduated from Washington & Jefferson College and Duquesne Law School and was elected judge in 2003. He had been a lawyer for 23 years, 15 as a staff attorney for the Pennsylvania Board of Claims before becoming a judge.

President Judge Debbie O'Dell Seneca said Mascara had worked part-time during his illness, until the past few weeks.

Mascara's funeral will be Wednesday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Washington, Pa.

He is survived by his wife, Lisa, and three children.
