PITTSBURGH — WPXI-TV will air the EQT Flashes of Freedom Fireworks Fantasia live on Channel 11 Thursday night. The broadcast, featuring David Johnson and Stephen Cropper, begins at 9 p.m.
Zambelli Fireworks based in New Castle will put on the display in Pittsburgh.
There will be more than 10,000 fireworks shells shot into the sky, and more than 40,000 effects will be created.
"You're going to love the signature Zambelli red, white and blue finale, creating the American flag in the sky and ending with the Zambelli thunderous titanium salutes," said George Zambelli.
The Zambelli company is putting on more than 800 shows this week nationwide.
If you’re wondering about the weather, Zambelli told Channel 11 the company will launch fireworks in the rain but not during a thunderstorm.
