BURBANK, Calif. — A 78-year-old man got into a fight at a Costco Sunday after trying to protect a cart of Nutella waffle samples from a greedy shopper, The Burbank Times reports.
Derrick Gharabighi, 24, of Burbank, Calif., reportedly punched the man in the face “when the elderly shopper told him to take just one,” Burbank Police Officer Cindy Guillen told The Burbank Times.

The elderly man was hospitalized for a one-inch cut and swelling above his eye.
Gharabighi was arrested on suspicion of elder abuse, The Burbank Times reports.
