PITTSBURGH — A 22-year-old woman is in desperate need of a double lung transplant for the second time after her body rejected her first transplant.
Morgan Yoney was diagnosed with cystic fibrosis when she was just 9 months old. In 2010, she received a double lung and liver transplant, but in 2013 her body began to reject the lungs. She’s now in need of a new donor.%

"It's just so frustrating to have gone from so healthy and then going back to sick again,” Yoney said.
"Morgan is on borrowed time right now, so we really need to get her lungs,” Tammy Yoney, Morgan’s mother, said.
Now, people in Morgan Yoney’s Green County community and beyond are stepping in to help in that effort. Her message and her need for a double lung transplant is plastered on signs and billboards all across the area.
Dan Burda, the owner of Studio Raw on Babcock Boulevard, and his husband have led the efforts to spread the word.
"We're hoping that somebody will see the signs that might know somebody who is near the end of their life that could possibly direct donate to Morgan, and if not Morgan, somebody else,” Tammy Yoney said.
Morgan Yoney and her parents know it will be a mix of emotions when the call comes, with grief for the family that lost a loved one, but also relief and happiness for Morgan.
"To be able to see her take that breath without the need of a ventilator again is so overwhelming. I'm so excited for that. She's 22 years old. She deserves to live,” Tammy Yoney said.
