Woman accused of beating 9-year-old at bus stop, police say

Police said a woman is facing charges after she physically assaulted a 9-year-old boy Wednesday morning at the boy’s bus stop in Center Township.
According to the criminal complaint, the boy was crying when he got on the bus with a bloody nose and a black eye.
Investigators told Channel 11’s Amy Marcinkiewicz the boy’s bus driver immediately alerted authorities when the student got on the bus.
“The bus driver and a fifth-grader reported this. We have to commend them for doing so,” Center Township police Chief Barry Kramer said.
Channel 11 News learned the suspect, Stacy Golden, dates a relative of the boy. Police said she’s charged with simple assault, endangering the welfare of a child and harassment.
“Someone lost their temper,” Kramer said.
