PITTSBURGH,None — Federal court records show an Ohio woman has settled her lawsuit against a Pittsburgh-area plastic surgeon who allegedly installed the wrong kind of implants.
Brittany Daly, of Steubenville, Ohio, sued Dr. Beverly Carl, of Bridgewater, Beaver County in March over the 2008 surgery.
Daly said she decided on silicon breast implants because Carl told her they were more durable than saline implants. But Daly said Carl's office accidentally obtained saline implants and the surgeon allegedly told Daly's fiancee about the mistake only after Daly was anesthetized -- and he told her to go ahead with the saline implants.
Court documents don't detail the settlement, reached this week.
