PITTSBURGH,None — Channel 11 News crews were there for the rescue after a woman slipped and fell 15 feet from the West End overlook on Wednesday evening.

Kristi Demel, 20, is in stable condition at UPMC Mercy Hospital. Police said Demel was trying to get a better view from the overlook near Rue Grande Vue, so she hopped a fence to do so and then fell, suffering a possible broken leg and foot injury.
"She decided to cross this really flat rock, missed her grip, slipped, went down head first," said Demel's friend, Paul Hagerich. "(She) flipped over as she was going and landed below the rock."
Five emergency workers climbed down the hill and and were able to bring Demel to safety. The rescue lasted about an hour.
