Zelienople Woman Blames Water Tanks For Soggy Yard, Basement

ZELIENOPLE, Pa.,None — A Zelienople woman is blaming water tanks for problems in her basement and yard.

Ann Glass said the runoff from two water tanks on Evans Road is flowing down the hillside and into her Townhill Drive home.

Glass said there was never a problem until the tanks were installed. Then she began noticing her yard was soggy and water was seeping into her basement.

"We've never seen water on the property," Glass said. "I don't know why all of a sudden it would show up unless something they did up there sparked it."

Borough Manager Don Pepe said they tried to eliminate the drainage by digging ditches around the tanks and adding extra pipes.

Pepe said the water could also be coming from a natural spring on Glass' property.
