The first will come on Aug. 27 in St. Louis, which was a mutual off-day for the two clubs. The Pirates were originally scheduled to travel from Chicago to Milwaukee that day. The first game will start at 3:15 p.m.
The second will be on Sept. 18. That will be part of what is now a five-game series from Sept. 17-20 at PNC Park.
Game one of that twin bill will take place at 4:05 p.m.. The Cardinals will be considered the home team for game two.
Because of MLB’s health and safety protocols for 2020, all four of these games will be seven inning contests. Teams will still be allowed to carry add another player to the roster for the second game.
The two teams were scheduled to play Monday through Wednesday in St. Louis, but it was postponed after there was a second wave of positive COVID-19 tests from the Cardinals’ clubhouse.
