Cam Heyward argues for reinstatement of suspended former Steelers teammate

PITTSBURGH — Pittsburgh Steelers defensive captain Cam Heyward is using his platform to advocate for the reinstatement to the NFL of one of his former teammates.

On his Not Just Football podcast, Heyward said that wide receiver Martavis Bryant, who played with him from 2014-17, should be reinstated by the league.

Bryant was hit with an indefinite suspension by the NFL in 2018 after several failed drug tests for marijuana usage. He applied for reinstatement in 2019 but has not been reinstated by NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell.
