PITTSBURGH — Steelers fans heard from head coach Mike Tomlin for the first time after he laid it out following Sunday’s disappointing loss to the Cincinnati Bengals.
In his postgame comments, Tomlin said the team played poorly.

Following the game, former Clairton grad, Pitt star and current Bengals wide receiver Tyler Boyd said the Steelers laid down and gave up on the game on Sunday. Tomlin was asked to respond to those comments at his weekly press conference on Tuesday.
Bengals WR Tyler Boyd made sure to make a point about how the Steelers finished the game yesterday.

"For a team to just lay down like that before the game was over....they portrayed it to the whole nation on TV what they were about in how they gave up." pic.twitter.com/N7cTgJKMUj
“I don’t care about Tyler Boyd’s opinion regarding what transpired at any point during the game. We better play better the next time we see them,” Tomlin said. “He’s entitled to his opinion, but I don’t have to respond to it.”
Tomlin on if Ben would be practicing Wednesday:

"This guys has a body of work over the course of 18 years that has us taking that approach. It rests him, and rightfully so. I don't want to be fielding questions late in the year about the quality of his throwing arm."
Tomlin also said he’s not ready to hit the panic button on this team just yet. The Steelers beat the Bills handily in Week 1 and then have looked lost in the past two games. Injuries to major defensive players haven’t helped either.
The Steelers take on Green Bay on Sunday. Kickoff is set for 4:25 p.m.
The Steelers also play the Bengals again this season.
