Gymnastics studios in Pittsburgh always see increase in interest after Olympics

CRANBERRY, Pa. — Gymnastics is becoming more popular here in Pittsburgh.

With the onset of the Tokyo Olympics, elite gyms like Xcel in Cranberry are getting ready for a big influx of students.

More than 1,500 students attend the Xcel Gymnastics summer program.

Pennsylvania falls into USA Gymnastics Region 7, which is one of the largest regions in the country.
