Skylights Kings' 2017 Band of the Year: West Allegheny

Congratulations to the West Allegheny Marching Pride! With nearly 100,000 votes, you're our 2017 Skylights Kings' Band of the Year!

In between all the game action, fans at Friday night football games are entertained by the high school bands. This is your choice to give your favorite marching band a shout out!

Each week during the regular football season, fans vote for the Band of the Week. At the end of the season, those 9 winners will be entered in our Band of the Year competition.

Here are the nominees:

• Week 1 (9/1): Canon-McMillan High School
• Week 2 (9/8): Shaler Area Marching Band
• Week 3 (9/15): Golden Tornado Marching Band
• Week 4 (9/22): North Hills Marching Band
• Week 5 (9/30): New Castle Marching Band
• Week 6 (10/6): West Allegheny Marching Pride
• Week 7 (10/13): East Allegheny High School
• Week 8 (10/20): Central Valley High School
• Week 9 (10/27): North Allegheny Tiger Marching Band
