Snow flurries roll through Pittsburgh area after very warm start, temps falling tonight

PITTSBURGH — After starting the day near 60 degrees in the Pittsburgh area, we saw snow flurries!

Overnight, winds will still be strong, with occasional gusts up to 30 mph. The sky will turn clear, and temperatures will fall to the upper teens. Bundle up before you head out Tuesday morning. Tuesday afternoon will bring plenty of sunshine and highs near 40 degrees.

Flooding concerns continue for cities along the Mon and Yough Rivers. There’s a Flood Advisory for the Ohio River at Pittsburgh that will close the Mon Wharf Parking area and parts of the North Shore Riverwalk.

March rolls in like a lion, with colder temperatures and gusty winds. Wind chills will drop into the single digits and teens early Tuesday, so layer up as you head out the door.

Grab the sunglasses too, and enjoy some time outdoors! Dry weather is in the forecast this week, so you can hit the car wash and start some spring projects around the house.
