Umbrellas will be needed later this week

PITTSBURGH — Make sure you don’t lose sight of your umbrella as this week will bring an active pattern that includes periods of heavy rain, thunderstorms, and mostly cloudy conditions.

Showers will continue on and off through Tuesday with a thunderstorm possible in a spot or two.

Heavier rain arrives Wednesday as the remnants of Tropical Storm Fred move through the area.  Some areas could see 1″-2″ of rain through the day Wednesday.  That could lead to localized flooding.
