Pittsburgh native could return as Batman in new movie

HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Michael Keaton is.... the Batman, again maybe. According to E! News, the Pittsburgh native is in talks to become the caped crusader again for a new movie.

Keaton starred as Batman in Tim Burton’s films. E! News reports Keaton would play the character in the Warner Bros. DC movie, The Flash. Ezra Miller would take on the role of The Flash.

If Keaton does return for the role, he could play Batman in several other upcoming films.

Keaton won a Golden Globe Award for Best Actor for the film Birdman in 2014. He played Batman in 1989 and 1992 films. He was raised partly in Coraopolis and even worked for a time on Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood.
