BLAIRSVILLE, Pa.,None — Two men have been charged with abusing the corpse of a teen whose burned remains were found in a 55-gallon barrel in Blairsville last year.
State police charged Robert Watkins Jr., 33, and Christopher Ladue, 32, on Wednesday. Both men are from Clarksburg.
Watkins was also charged with being an accomplice of Anthony Black, 32, already jailed in the March 2010 killing of Rodnell Burton, 17, of Pittsburgh.
Police haven't said why they waited nearly a year to charge Watkins and Ladue, who were identified in court papers charging Black last September.
Police said Burton was hit in the head with a baseball bat, before his remains were burned in the barrel that was dumped in the Conemaugh River.
