Aurora to expand into Uber ATG’s former spaces

PITTSBURGH — In January, autonomous vehicle company Aurora closed its acquisition of Uber’s self-driving unit, and the company now plans to expand its operations into space Uber ATG previously occupied.

Aurora reported that it now operates out of 50 33rd Street, the Crucible building, 85 36th Street and a test track in Hazelwood, all former Uber ATG spaces. The company did not disclose the total square footage of its space in Pittsburgh or how much it paid for the new space.

“We are proud to call Pittsburgh home and with the recent addition of Uber ATG, the Aurora family has gotten quite a bit bigger. We are keeping the main Pittsburgh offices that Uber ATG had, as well as expanding into our new offices in the Strip District,” Gerardo Interiano, vice president of government relations and public affairs at Aurora, said.
