PITTSBURGH — Jeff Izenson knew the end had arrived when he realized his long-time Specialty Luggage business was confronting a challenge it couldn’t overcome.
“This is it. Game over, unfortunately,” said Izenson.
Izenson has opted to closed Specialty Luggage’s remaining store at the Waterworks Mall, starting a going-out-of-business sale on Wednesday, July 23, a process he expects to end in September, bringing to a close a local company that has been in business for 76 years, originally as a luggage maker in Wilkinsburg that later made the successful transition to luggage retail.
