Local real estate firm in Freeport giving away free lunches to those in need during pandemic

FREEPORT, Pa. — A local real estate firm has converted its office space into a drive-up food distribution facility in an effort to provide free lunches to those in the Freeport area who need them.

Heidi Powell, the broker-owner of NextHome Dynamic, said she launched the Dynamic Community Foundation 501(c)3 nonprofit last month and partnered with Freeport resident Jackie Gaughan to help address the need for meals in the community. With schools closed and people laid off from their jobs, Powell said she hopes to be able to provide a free meal for anyone who needs it.
