McDonald’s corporate headquarters building sells for $412 million to Pittsburgh-based company

PITTSBURGH — The nine-story building housing the McDonald’s corporate headquarters in Chicago’s West Loop has sold for $412 million.

The seller of 110 N. Carpenter, a 575,000-square-foot office tower, was Sterling Bay. Normandy Properties, a family office based in Pittsburgh, is the buyer. JLL Capital Markets represented the seller.

“Completing the sale of 110 N. Carpenter in the midst of an uncertain economic market is a testament to the city of Chicago’s ability to attract outside investment and secure important capital for its future,” Sterling Bay CEO Andy Gloor said in a statement.
