PITTSBURGH — Pittsburgh-based clinical research organization Novum Pharmaceutical Research is expanding with the addition of a Canadian lab.
Novum has integrated the Lambda Therapeutic Research clinic and bioanalytical lab in Toronto into its operations. The Toronto lab, founded in 2010, has the ability for phase I, pharmacokinetics, pharmacodynamic and other trials and studies. The lab also develops and analyzes 15,000 samples a month.
Novum was acquired by Lambda Therapeutic Research, a company based in India, in 2017. Lamda acquired the Canadian lab in 2010, its first entry into the North American market. It also has operations in Poland and the United Kingdom.
There are 300 employees between Novum’s Pittsburgh headquarters in Station Square as well as offices in Las Vegas and Houston. It wasn’t clear how many employees were at the Toronto lab that is merging with Novum.
