Pittsburgh’s pitch to British Airways: Make London flight daily

PITTSBURGH — A group of Pittsburgh-region companies and the Allegheny County Airport Authority will be heading over to London next week for a series of discussions that could lead to expanding the British Airways service at Pittsburgh International Airport to daily and bring about new business opportunities.

It’s the second of two visits this year arranged by the airport authority and VisitPittsburgh, the first in May focused on opportunities in the overseas leisure market and the second next week with senior management from many high-profile companies attending, including longtime stalwarts like PNC Financial Services Group Inc., MSA Safety Co. and the Pittsburgh Steelers and emerging firms like Argo AI, Aurora Innovation Inc., Fifth Season and Watt Fuel Cell.
