Planning Commission appears optimistic about new Strip District office tower proposal from JMC

PITTSBURGH — JMC Holdings and its architect, Brooklyn-based Brandon Haw Architecture, unveiled the latest improvements to previously rejected plans that would replace the former New Federal Cold Storage building with an office tower located at 1501 Penn Ave. in the Strip District.

“We listened to you, we heard you and we made changes,” said Dusty Kirk, a lawyer for Reed Smith, who represents JMC Holdings on the project.
